Your styling experience is important to Hot Tools® Professional. We provide warranties for your Hot Tools® appliances to guarantee dependable performance and consistent results. Please continue reading for full detail.
Helen of Troy L.P., a Texas limited partnership (“Hot Tools® Professional”) warrants to the original product purchaser (“Customer”) that the Hot Tools® Professional product was designed, developed and/or fabricated using all due reasonable commercial care and good manufacturing practices. Hot Tools® Professional products shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for 730 days from the date of purchase. Hot Tools® Professional’s sole obligation under this warranty is to repair or replace the product, at Hot Tools® Professional’s option. Hot Tools® Professional must be notified of any claim under this warranty within 30 days of any claimed lack of conformity of the product.

DEFINITIONS
Authorized Repair Centers – A business either owned by Hot Tools® Professional or with whom Hot Tools® Professional contracts that performs repairs or replacements for Products subject to Hot Tools® Professional’s Warranties, with Hot Tools® Professional’s approval.
Product – Any tangible personal property for which Hot Tools® Professional provides a Warranty which is distributed in commerce and which is normally used for personal, family, or household purposes.
Third Party Parts – Parts not made by Hot Tools® Professional or authorized by Hot Tools® Professional for use with Hot Tools® Professional products. This includes recycled and aftermarket parts.
Third Party Repair – Repair of Hot Tools® Professional products by anyone other than Hot Tools® Professional and/or an Authorized Repair Center.

WARRANTY – WHAT IS COVERED
Hot Tools® Professional warrants to the original product purchaser that this product is free from defects in workmanship from the date of delivery. This warranty coverage applies to the original product purchaser and original product only and is not transferable. If this appliance fails to operate properly under normal use within 30 days from purchase because of defect, simply return it to the place of purchase with proof of purchase for a no-charge replacement. If found defective after 30 days and within the warranty period, please contact our Consumer Service Department. The Consumer Service Department will provide instructions on how to exchange an item that is under warranty.
The use of Hot Tools® Professional-branded parts or authorized repair centers for maintenance or repairs is not required in order to maintain warranty coverage. However, any damage or defects caused to your Hot Tools® Professional product by your use of any non-authorized third party service provider, attempts at self-repair, or utilization of third-party parts is not covered by this warranty. These damages or defects include, but are not limited to, damages caused in the process of shipping, altering, and/or repairing the Hot Tools® Professional product when said repair is performed by an entity other than an authorized repair center.
WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
Representatives of Hot Tools® Professional are not authorized to modify this warranty in any way. It is the Customer’s responsibility to regularly examine the product to determine the need for normal service or replacement. In addition to and incorporating the language outlined above, this warranty does not cover the following:
Normal wear and tear
Damage or defects caused by the misuse and abuse including but not limited to dropping, incorrect voltage supply, or neglect in safety precaution
Damage or defects resulting from alteration, accident, neglect, attempts at self-repair, or the use of third party parts and attachments.
Damage or defects caused by repair or attempted repair by a third party
Neglect or lack of proper maintenance
Damage to cord
Modification, neglect or poor maintenance, misuse, abuse, or involvement in accidents or natural disasters
Damage or defects occurring during shipment of the product (such claims must be presented directly to the shipping company)
Damage or deterioration to the surface finish, aesthetics, or appearance of the product
Tools for which the Customer does not follow the warranty procedures outlined above
Tampering and misuse with transformers, voltage converters, plug adapters, or with alternative power supplies internationally (outside US, Mexico, or Canada), except for tools that have been specifically designed for international use.
